The Department of Taiwanese Literature strives to provide students with in-depth knowledge of Taiwanese history, local and folk culture, language and literature, and research methods through a variety of creative teaching strategies. It cooperates with art and culture groups and hires mass communication, play writing, press and print media professionals to interact and share their skills with students and professors.
A strong emphasis is placed on written texts, multimedia and distance learning. In fact, students have the exciting opportunity to pursue a double major degree by combining Taiwanese Literature and Mass Communication so that they may meet the competitive demands of the Information Age.
