Providence University recently invited Ms. Wun-Yin Jhong, to be its campus resident writer. An exhibition called, ”A Midsummer Night’s Dream : A Study by Jhong, Wun-Yin was held where many of her works and manuscripts were displayed which attracted considerable number of readers to come.
In the opening ceremony, Ms. Jhong uses a map of reading as a topic to share her experience. She not only good at writing novels and prose but she is also well-traveled. In fact, has been to more than fifty cities all over the world. This is the reason why she published the glossary recently.
She mentions that reading various types of classical literature can increase people’s vision. Ms. Ming Rou Jhen, the curator of Luking Library of Providence University, says that PU has been promoting reading, writing, innovation, and enlightenment for a long time by holding different activities that can increase students’ vision and mental ability.
Ms. Jhen hopes that the audience will have a willingness to get involved in literature through these kinds of activities in order to know the meaning of reading and writing. In the future, there are more writers who will come to Providence University to share their experiences and communicate to their readers in a personal way.
