"Your knowledge and ability depend upon your attitude!" said President Ma Ying-Jeou when he came to Providence University on June 7, 2011, to talk about dreams and jobs. President Ma's own dream is to pursue justice in the society and the environment. He encouraged the students to be brave in pursuing dreams, and to be sincere and diligent in their work. He also inspired his listeners with the stories of the Minister of the Judicial Yuan, Lai Ying-Chao, and the CEO of the Landis Hotel, Stephen Yen.
When President Ma asked students if their first job salary is too low for them, 12 of them said yes and 121 said no. He emphasized that graduates must watch over their attitudes and conduct. |
