Three Providence University overseas Chinese students from Malaysia received the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission Scholarship of 5000 NT dollars each from Minister Ying-Yi Wu. At the Chinese Language and Education Center annual Christmas party, Miss Tiffany Chang, Office of the International Affairs staff member, introduced the awardees: Theresa Mau Wei Hsia, Tee Qin Qiao, and Lee Kae Yin. Dr. Victor C. Lin, Director of the Office of International Affairs, presented the awards.
Theresa Mau Wei Hsia is majoring in Cosmetic Science. She has won this award for two consecutive years. She is a member of the Providence University Ambassador.
Tee Qin Qiao is a student of the Department of Food and Nutrition. She is a student assistant in the Office of International Affairs.
Lee Kae Yin is from the Department of Food and Nutrition. This is the second consecutive year that she has received this award.
All three awardees won the scholarship because of their outstanding academic performance and have greatly assisted in the various activities of the Overseas Chinese Student Association (OCSA).
