The Office of International Affairs held a dinner to thank the teachers and staff members as well as to bid good-bye to 49 exchange students completing their first semester at Providence University. The exchange students came from 18 different universities in Japan, Korea, Mainland China, Philippines and the United States of America.
The evening party was attended by 124 persons who were also entertained with a fabulous talent show organized by a committee of Learning Partners with Miss Gladys LU, in-charge of the Incoming Exchange Students. The international students who did presentations about their universities, culture and traditions and those who had participated in the activities of the International Corner more than five times during the semester were acknowledged with certificates of appreciation.
For the second semester, Providence University looks forward in welcoming 66 exchange students from 30 universities in Asia and Europe. This is a strong indication that Providence University has been moving towards internationalization.
