In cooperation with the government of Taiwan, thirty-one (31) students from Malaysia were graduated from Providence University, Overseas Youth Vocational Training School. In this two-year-course under the direction of the Departments of Cosmetic Science and Food and Nutrition, the students learned hair- styling, make-up techniques, clothing design and baking. They created Barbie doll outfits to illustrate their designs. Then they made outfits for themselves which they modeled in an exhibit with a theme: Fairy, Human and Evil.
This program was initiated 40 years ago for India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar to help the participants gain some skills that they can bring home to their respective countries. |
